    夭寿不二

    最近在阅读《了凡四训》(净空大师讲记版本)的时候,看到一个颇有意思并令人启发的词句,“夭寿不二”。
     
    “夭”就是死,“寿”就是长命,“不二”就是没有分别。一般按照常人的理解,死与长寿明明就是相对的,怎么会没有分别呢?
    可是如果这样想,在千分之一秒的瞬间“夭”“寿”两字在脑中经过,没有足够的时间去想两者的差异,那么你就不会觉得两者有分别。这当中的关键是,事物之所有被人感觉有分别和差异,都是因为人有太多的妄想和执着,如果消除这些妄念,不要去想太多,那么自然生死不惧,宠辱不惊。
     
    当然,这是非常难以达到的境界,需要不断的修行才能做到。但是,这句话对我们对待世间万物如何能够保持平和心境不无启发。
    在这个充满竞争的社会,需要保持一种出世的心态。不同人的际遇和机会各异,有贫有富,胜败无常,经常让人背负不少精神压力。但是若把这一切的差别看淡,生活也得一样过,那就自然少了很多忿恨之心。贫者安贫乐道,而不是沦为抢劫之徒;败者总结教训,而对胜者不生嫉妒之心;相互存在利益关系的众人不相互恶性抢夺生意,那么大家都会更加快乐。
     
    《了凡四训》不是一部佛经,而是一部儒家著作,说的是人命里原来有命数,这是由以前的因果业报决定的,但并不是不可改变。算命师傅大多都能算中我们的命运,只有极善之人与极恶之人不可算,因为他们命运不断改变,变得更好或更坏。这本书就是教导我们如何通过改变自己的品行从而改变命运。因此“夭寿不二”并不是要我们原地踏步不思上进,而是要我们放下执着,进而存好心,做好事,说好话,来使自己的命运变得更好。
